Our Story
Both the Desert and the Canyon Rose spring from the auspices of Sedona Quantum Consciousness. SQC was founded by Mark Szymczak in 2021 to amplify energy, joy and intentions. The DR has been two-year/$1M renovation project with a full team of contractors. The neighboring properties are where many of our staff members reside. The Canyon Rose formerly belonged to the world famous New-Age musician, Chris Spheeris. He saw the good SQC was doing for the world at large and asked us to steward its next chapters.. We have been blessed with the stewardship of Rose properties to assist in the growth of humanity’s consciousness. Hence, we cater to those inspired to do the same – those with missions to make the world a better place.. It is also our intention to bring more favorable employment to those who reside in Sedona year round. Our retreat concierge (Nekita), our sanctuary managers (Morgan and Rachel), our hiking guide (Ben) our Spiritual-tech-guide (Ada), our chauffeur (Niko) and our cleaning staff all vibe at a Hawkins level beyond 500. The SQC/Rose Retreat team will bring an extra level of joy and service to your customized retreat.

Morgan Szymczak
Desert Rose Property Manager
Morgan skipped around from the Bay Area to Hawaii and finally landed in Sedona to help renovate a property that needed major love and attention. This house would eventually become hers to own and run. Little did she know of the sweat equity requirement for breathing life into a “relic” property and a “nuanced” cast of characters. Fortunately, Morgan’s entertaining personality, project management skills, and interior design talent succeeded in turning this old B&B into a gem of an experience.
Rachel Nakatani
Canyon Rose Property Manager
Rachel brings spunk, joy and an innate hospitality to her workday and interactions. Bonus: She also happens to be a fantastic chef and herbalist. With Rachel’s magic the Canyon Rose becomes one of the best private dinner venues in Sedona. And…don’t be surprised if she busts out a Taro deck after she serves dessert.
Nekita Szymczak
DR Retreat Concierge
Nekita gets it. She is all about service, creativity and attunement. When hired to assist with a retreat, her logistical management shines as strongly as her people skills. For the record… Morgan and Nekita are not related. The Quantum Field, however, has brought them together as besties with a passion for ensuring visitors to the Desert Rose leave with lasting memories and transformational experiences.

Spiritual Tech Guide
Ada heads up the spiritual tech department at SQC and the Rose retreat properties. When facilitators are looking to fill in gaps for a retreat, Ada’s Spiritual Tech is a great addition. With faster than light tachyons, copper merkabas, and PEMF combined with high grade gemstones – this is truly a one of a kind experience. You could even say that the Roxiva Meditation Lamp – with its over 200 psychedelic Light & Sound Journeys – provides an out-of-this-world experience.
